How to make Christian stationery without any tools
We have all heard the advice that if you want to make stationery you must first learn how to make everything else.
And in the age of social media, that’s just not true.
In fact, learning how to knit, crochet, crochet a little, crochet and knit, and crochet a lot is all part of the fun of making Christmas stationery.
What’s more, we’re not talking about just getting some basic knowledge from your grandma, we are talking about the entire process of making a beautiful, thoughtful, and functional piece of handmade art.
The craft of stationery is a skill, but there are a lot of skills that need to be mastered to truly understand the craft of crafting.
So how do you get started?
It’s time to get started on your stationery journey.
We’ll be showing you everything you need to know about stationery in this guide, from getting the right tools to learning the fundamentals of stationers.
It will give you the tools you need and the confidence you need when you’re ready to learn how stationery works.
Ready?
Let’s get started.
Tools: Needle and thread If you’re new to stationery making, I strongly suggest you start with the needle and thread.
These are the tools most people use to make a lot more stationery than you might think.
You can find a few different needle and hook sizes for different stationery styles and shapes.
For this guide we’re going to be focusing on the smaller needles that are used to make the smallest stations, so let’s start with one of our favorite needles, the US 4.5mm needle.
(For more information about needles, check out our beginner’s guide to needles.)
It is a great needle for beginners because you don’t need to worry about how many stitches are going to make your station, you just need to follow the instructions and get everything exactly as written on the needle.
Here are the needles you need: US 4.75mm needles 1 set of US 4mm needles (or size to obtain the exact needle size you want) 1 size US needle 1/2 size US crochet hook A ruler or tape measure (or whatever you’re comfortable with) A marker or tape measuring tape A few pencils and a pen (or a piece of chalk and paper) And the basics of stationer knitting The first thing you’re going, and I know this sounds weird, but this is what you need for stationery: A hook (you can use any kind of hook, even a simple one, you can even use a chain if you have one) Thread (or even just a piece you can crochet) Tape measure (optional) One or more scissors A sharp knife or a knife with a bit of sharpening A stitch marker or piece of scrap paper Some sewing supplies A needle and a stitch marker A small amount of thread, the right amount for the shape you want, and a needle needle if you are unsure how many needles you will need.
Here are some of the most basic stationer stitches you can use: Single crochet (dc) Double crochet (double crochet) Round 1: sc in the round Sc in the next 4 stitches (make a sc across) Round 2: ch 1, 2sc in each st Round 3: sl st in each stitch Round 4: Sl st in the 2nd sc of each stitch (sl st into each sc) Sc dec in the following 3 stitches Round 5: Sc2tog in each sc Round 6: Ch 1, sc in the same sc Ch1 slst Slst Ch2 sl 2 sl 1 sl2 Sc 3 Sl 2 Sl 1 Sl2 Ch3 Sl Sl3 sl Sl1 Sl6 Sl5 Sl4 Sl11 Sl10 Sl9 Sl8 Sl7 Sl 5 Sl 4 Sl 3 sl 6 Sl 6 sl6 sl11 sl3 Sc6 sc2 sc sc3 sc4 sc5 sc1 sc12 sl5 sl7 sl4 sl10 sl9 sl8 sl12 Sl12 sc11 sc8 sc10 sc6 ch sl1 ch1 ltr sl16 sl17 sl18 sl19 sl21 sl22 sl23 sl24 sl25 sl26 sl27 sl28 sl29 sl30 sl31 sl32 sl33 sl34 sl35 sl36 sl37 sl38 sl
