President Donald Trump says he will review a federal appeals court ruling that bars the prosecution of George Wilson Jr., who was charged with murdering Trayvon Martin.

Trump said Thursday that Wilson will “probably” appeal his conviction.

Trump’s remarks came after a panel of federal judges in Richmond, Virginia, issued a ruling Wednesday in which they said that federal prosecutors must disclose to the defense any information they had about Wilson’s history of domestic violence.

Trump, whose administration has been criticized for its handling of the Martin shooting, said the ruling will provide a “lot of important information” for the defense.
